"Get Both of Them!!!!"

We just got adorable puppies!!! They are so sweet. Mom and Dad promised that as soon as we got a new house, we could get a dog, something I have wanted for SO long. So on Thursday we went to the Maricopa Animal Shelter. But after getting lost and not knowing where to go, we got there right after they closed the kennels. So we went home very disappointed. But, luckily Friday was a half day!!!! So right after school we started driving. We got there and started looking for a dog. There was this one called Taco that we had seen online and he was a cute little puppy. But when we go there he was not a puppy. The picture needed to be updated!!!He was cute, but not what we were looking for. Then there was Cinder and she was cute, but not right. So we went to Walmart and Mom talked to Dad while me and the boys ate ice cream cones from McDonald's. I also showed off my awesome knowledge of Spanish. :) We had also seen this cute picture of a chihuahua mix. So we got directions from Dad to this Pet Smart all the way in Deer Valley!! But we went there on a very long drive! When we got there we went in and there she was! She was from the Arizona Humane Society and they had taken her to the Pet Smart. So we got there and she was so cute!!! But we almost did not get her. This other lady wanted her too!! But, luckily the other lady wanted a purebred and not a mix. So she left and we got to hold her. She is so tiny, not even 4 pounds! But in the cage next to Selma, (that was the shelters name for her) there was a equally adorable pit bull/ rottweiler puppy named Rainy!(Again, a shelter name.) And she was so playful and cute. Selma was more dainty and preferred to sit on my lap. But the boys loved Rainy! I was so sad because I loved both of them but I wanted Selma!! So after Mom couldn't decide, she called Dad. This was all after about 45 min. We couldn't leave! And so Dad looked at the pictures of them online and helped Mom decide. And guess what he said?? He said we could have both!!! We were so happy!!! So we got things all figured out and food and a crate for them. And then we drove home!! They are family dogs but Selma is more mine and Rainy is perfect for the boys. They both are so tiny. Also on the way home we picked out new names. Selma and Rainy are cute, but not for them. So now Selma is Coco and Rainy is.. well that's a work in progress, we are thinking about Starry. Coco and Starry are not potty trained so we will have to work on that. Wish us luck:)!!! So Coco is the one that is being held and Starry is the one all curled up. You will probably see the difference, Coco is petite and Starry is more stocky. Starry in the picture is all pooped out from the boys playing with her. The title is '' Get Both of Them'' because that's how a Dad told Mom. So now we have puppies. Hopefully they will stay small and only grow a little. And hopefully they won't destroy the house!!

Also today is Ari's sixth birthday! And Bram's second birthday last week, so the joke is one is for Bram's birthday and the other for Ari's!!

Well, the first week has passed. On Monday, I got the whole rules lecture in 6 out of 7 classes. One thing I miss about the elementary, is that since there is one teacher, I don't get 6 different lectures. On Tuesday, we started to do some real work with EESI testing. On Wednesday that was done except for in math, of course. Thursday was real work with note taking and receiving assignments. That night I came home and found my history notebook missing with all my stuff in it and the study guide that was due the next day!!!! I was freaking out. More to come on that. Friday was same, and I think I have gotten my schedule down. There was many times over the week that I wanted to follow my old schedule, only to remember and hurry back to the right class to get there on time. Oops! Well, that day after school, Asher cam up to me and lo and behold, he had my notebook!!! Yeah!! He said some girls found it in the bathroom. Why it would be in the bathroom, I have no clue. Oh well. I will have to go but I have more stuff to say and will just have to write later!!!!

A few more days......

Where has the summer gone?? I must once gain feel sad that summer is almost over! Three more days and then school starts. Well, I don't know what else to write.I might have a few friends over tomorrow and go swimming. But I am not sure. And we meet teachers tomorrow. To meet the adults who will torture us for the next year. Actually, they are awesome teachers, and now that all the really horrible ones are gone, it will be okay. So....thats all. Bye!

School starts so soon!!!

What am I to do, school starts on Monday!! Actually, I am really excited to be at school with friends, but not so excited to be with schoolwork, oh well, what can I do?? But we had a lovely end after having Grampa and Grama Green over and the Snells. Fun Fun! And now we must get back to a long 10 months.......

My Mom was reading the next post and she realized I did not explain how I almost ran over Bram, well I did because he was messing with the tires so when the truck started moving........ well thats all. Sorry if you were confused.

Catch Up Time!

Where to begin?? I don't know! [We moved into the house July 3, that was the first night there. Well maybe I should start with the 4th. ]

We did not do much, spent the whole day moving, went to Applebees and saw 2 tiny fireworks, nothing like the Stadium of Fire. It was not a very big day. We all missed being with cousins. We did read the Declaration for FHE on Monday though.....

Sunday was the last day with our old ward. Very sad. I almost cried thinking that I was leaving the ward and people I grew up with. Nine years is a long time. But I got through it with no tears, mostly because all my friends were like " Kat, don't cry." In Young Women's we were having a little testimony and my friend stood up and said that she was going to miss me and I just almost broke down and cried. I am getting a little teary thinking about it, excuse me for a moment.......... Okay I am done.

Wednesday was the last mutual with them and that was because they were doing a service project and cleaning our old house. I cried there. I couldn't help myself. And the older girls who use to babysit me were telling me all these stories about when I was little. I was just so Sad. I just am going to miss them, even though I will see them, and hang out, it just won't be the same. I can't just walk to their house if I wanted to. Okay, you don't want to here me cry so I will move on to a different part of the week.

We spent the whole last week cleaning. And cleaning. Did I mention we cleaned? It actually was not that bad. Well I got lucky Thursday and Friday I went places with friends and went swimming. Then on Saturday Mom, Dad, and Asher and Rhys went to the Calders to finish the clean-up and I got to stay home with Ari and Bram. And I am very thankful that I did not have to go, but I had a very boring day without any good books. And there wasn't much to do. Oh well.

Sunday was the first Sunday with Cortina First. I was super nervous, this was not just my cousins ward in which I knew at least them. I did not know anyone. But it was okay and I think I am going to like my Young Women leaders.

So that is pretty much everything. There is two more things. We did not have water from Thursday or Friday to Tuesday. That was miserable!! Its horrible, we lived on about 15 gallons of water a day. Which is not that much for a family of 7. Well, it was a good learning experience that I can look back and learn from it, not any time soon.

And the second thing is, I almost ran over Bram, yes, it was horrible. Let me explain. It was on the 4th and we were about to go to Applebees. And I got in the Uhaul and was pretending to drive. Now I know you have to push the brake to move the thing into drive, [thats a different story] and I was showing the boys, something happened and it got stuck and started rolling down the driveway. I opened the door and Dad was yelling "The brakes, the brakes!!" So I slammed on the brakes, got out of the car and hugged Dad. He told me that I almost run over Bram and I started crying and laughing, I couldn't stop. I got in the other car and just sat there. And my contact was coming out and I did not have solution to clean it with or a container to out it in because we were at the Calders. Well I did joke about it after we got out of Applebees. Because my Mom was saying what if I had not slammed on the brakes and it just rolled through into out neighbors backyard? That would be a nice way to meet your neighbors, " Hi, we just moved in and have crashed through your wall. Its nice to meet you."

But its all over and I can laugh about it and it will be fun to tell Bram. And Rhys and Asher were in the car to and their faces!!! LOL! Well, you are probably tired of this so I will stop now and post later. Bye!!

Moving!

I never realized what a chore moving is. The last time we moved it was during school and Mom did most of it. And the time before that, I probably made more trouble then help. But I am really excited to move. I just wished we were done with the cleaning and packing! I am sure everyone knows what I am talking about since most of you have probably moved once or twice:] But at least we have a place to go. Oh, I could just scream from excitement! the house is so cool! The kitchen is HUGE. It has double ovens and like 500 cupboards and it has a butlers pantry. And thats just the kitchen! I won't tell anymore so you will be forced to come and see it, meaning that after we are all settled in, you have to come visit! He he! But that is all for now!
