We started out by getting the frog and observing the hands and feet. Then we started cutting it up! We had to stop just as we cut up the stomach because the class period ended. The next day [today] we opened it up the whole way. There we found out it was a female because of all the eggs. Those were nasty looking. We took them out and finished dissecting it! One of the boys in our group kept saying some of the parts looked like food, so I don't think I will be eating pasta soon... or cotton candy. We didn't finish again so on Monday we will finish up Finally! All in all I guess it was wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and I even touched it! the only person that didn't really touch the frog was a girl. Me and my friend started poking it with the knives and other tools that there was. It was kind of fun. [You were right Aunt Danette, it wasn't that bad.] Well I will see if we do more on Monday. Have fun at froguts.com!:]
P. S. Thanks for all the comments you post!
I wish I were there!
ReplyDeleteor should I say, I wish I WAS there. oops.
ReplyDeleteThat was disgusting...but cool too!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great post. You made me laugh! I don't remember many things, but I do remember disecting, and the smell! Oh! I think that was the worst part for me. So, now you can say you have done it and be thankful that you don't have to make a career out of it (unless yo want to)! ha!
ReplyDeleteI think I will check out the website, that is just how sick I am. I rememeber one time when we lived in Colorado we were at the park and went by the pond and found a dead from so we decided to take it home and disect it, when Gpa got home, we told him about it and he informed us that the frog wasn't dead, but hypernating for the winter and that we disected it when it was alive. YUCK! Boy did I ever feel bad.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad Aunt Sorena! I would've felt so bad too! I'm glad I made you laugh Aunt Danette! I am not going to make a career out of it, thank you very much!
